United Way Recovery Distribution Program

United Way’s Gifts in Kind Program has partnered with PODS and nine local social service agencies to distribute new furniture and home goods to people impacted by Hurricane Ian. Distribution locations are provided across Lee County to provide ease of access for as many people as possible.

Each location is locked and managed by a Partner Agency. Members of the public who have been impacted by Hurricane Ian are invited to call their nearest location to be vetted and to schedule an appointment to meet the POD Manager and retrieve items. Appointments are required (walk-ups are not permitted).

Scheduled recipients must bring an appropriate vehicle to transport the items and enough people to physically move them.
